You’ll find your favourites in the Amanda Wakeley collection.
Always pictured yourself in a long sleeve wedding dress? Well, you’re in luck because one of these dresses from the Amanda Wakeley collection might just be the long sleeve wedding dress of your dreams.
From sheer panelling detail (very on trend) to flowing angel-like wings to all the lace, these long sleeve wedding dresses are absolutely stunning. Let us know which is your favourite in the comments!
The Colette dress from the Amanda Wakeley collection uses their trademark Mikado fabric. This is a unique blend of decadent Chinese silk and wool, with a crisp structure and subtle sheen surface. The sleeves are made of Japanese lace and tulle covers the bodice, trimmed with a crafted ladder braiding to cinch the waist – just what we like. It then extends into a free-flowing skirt, making this the ultimate romantic gown when it comes to long sleeve wedding dresses.
Just look at those sleeves! What makes this gown special isn’t just that it’s made of fine silk tulle. It’s also designed with a delicate hand-sewn feather print that contours the bodice, sketched and designed in-house. The sleeves? Well, they’re voluminous which adds an unexpected element to the silhouette and offers sheer coverage that sways with the movement of your body.
We love the Leda dress because it’s adorned with embellishment. This is developed in-house from hand-drawn florals alongside grosgrain ribbons beaded with the tiniest pearls and crystals. Under those beautiful long sleeves is a tailored satin slip, offering support to your waist whilst a bias-cut drape skims the lower body. We love this option as a second wedding dress.
Want to go for a touch of vintage? You definitely need the Alberta Wedding Coat in your life. This is the perfect blend of drama and elegance. What’s great about how this coat is designed is that it features an oversized-padded collar, which emphasises your face and decolletage. It also has a gorgeous long sweeping train. We’d wear this piece over a chic column gown to contrast the flared fit of this wedding coat.
So we may have cheated a little with this last one, but we just couldn’t resist those beautiful capped sleeves. The Seraphina dress is made from circular cut layers of delicate tulle which create an extravagant skirt silhouette. The fragility of this tulle is then contrasted with the bodice (our favourite part). This is made from exquisite corded lace and grosgrain ribbon and reveals subtle flashes of skin beneath the ethereal embroidery. Our favourite alternative to long sleeve wedding dresses.
