6 Of The Best Tips To Create The Wedding Hairstyle Of Your Dreams

Saying yes to the dress can be a tricky decision, but a wedding hairstyle can be even harder.

6 Of The Best Tips To Create The Wedding Hairstyle Of Your Dreams

You want to create the wedding hairstyle of your dreams, right? Well, it’s important to get things off on the right foot. Here’s a list of our top tips to keep in mind.

1. Plan in advance

You need to think about your hair in advance, and we mean WAY in advance. Especially if you’re having it coloured, permed or treated. You’ll want to make sure the colour looks right (and remember, it can lighten in the sun). We’d advise getting your hair treated at least one month before your wedding. This way, enough time will pass to make it look more natural, or you’ll have time to fix it.

Top tip: Remember to book a few trial runs, especially one where you get to try your wedding dress on on the same day!

2. Don’t have your hair pulled back too tightly

You might think this will be a great way to keep everything in place, and you might think you need to get it done super early in the day. We’d actually advice against this, especially if you’re wearing an updo as your scalp will start to hurt and you could get a headache.

3. Have one last cut

Make sure you book in one last trim before the day of your wedding to eliminate split ends and make sure your hair is in perfect condition. You could even have a conditioning treatment to treat yourself!

4. Ask different people

If you don’t have a regular hair stylist who can do your wedding hair, or you want someone different, be sure to shop around. Go to more than one stylist for a trial run so you can find the best person for you. Having your hair done for a big event is very different from an everyday appointment, so don’t rush into any decisions.

5. Get help

You’re more than welcome to do your wedding hair yourself if you want to, especially if you’re going for something simple. But don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s always good to have a friend or family member there to give you some perspective.

6. Remember your unique style

You want to look like you on your wedding day, so you need to remember this when it comes to your hair. Don’t go too over the top or go for a style that just isn’t you. Opt for the natural look and we promise, you’ll look beautiful.

If you’re looking for the perfect accessories to match your hair look for your wedding day, be sure to book an appointment with one of your consultants so we can show you the brands we love.
